The Comedy Store is among the royalty of Los Angeles comedy clubs. It has been open since 1972 and bills itself as "The Original All Comedy Workshop Nightclub". It is owned and directed by Mitzi Shore, mother to Pauly and wife to Sammy. This club has seen some famous faces grace its stage: Richard Pryor, Sammy Shore, Redd Foxx, Freddie Prinze, Gallagher, Jim Carrey, Howie Mandel and more. There are three rooms featuring different acts. The ambiance is dark with a lot of neon lights. The clientele is very diverse, with both locals and tourists flocking to this legendary club. It doesn't serve food, but it features a full bar and a wine list.
