This city square is the place to find all kinds of people, free concerts and other shows, festivals, protests, fund-raisers and everything else that goes with a city. Portland's first school was located here. Now you can eat your lunch by the waterfall, tall columns and wrought iron. Quite possibly one of the busiest blocks in town, it is a great place to people-watch and get an idea of what a typical Portlander looks like. The square is also where you will find the Portland Visitor Information Center.
