This one-star hotel is very popular with British tourists in particular. The building dates from the early 1900s and many of the bedrooms are period pieces. Each of them is decorated in a different style. Room 120 is covered in 1920s frescoes and room 127 is furnished with antiques from the same period. King Alfonso XIII once stayed here. It offers good value for money and a great location, close to Gran Vía and Plaza de Chueca, with its gay cafés and bars. The bar-cafeteria serves breakfast for EUR3.
