The museum resides within a life-sized replica of the Portuguese galleon Flor De Lar Mar" which ran aground off the Malaccan coasts on its way to Portugal centuries ago. The historical archives in the museum include exhibits of ships dating back to the beginning of the great age of European exploration and seafaring. The history of Malacca gets a refresher in maritime terms from the first Sultan to the last chapter of the British Navy in these waters. Admission: Adults MYR2; Students MYR0.50. Ticket also includes admission to The Maritime Museum Phase II, The Malaysia Royal Navy Museum and the ex-KD Sri Terengganu Battleship.
