This gorgeous French Quarter Victorian is on the National Register of Historic Places, and is more famous as a tourist attraction than as a hotel. The fence that stands around it is said to be at least 130 years old. The original owner built the unusual fence to ease his homesick bride's sorrow for her home state of Iowa. You will notice that the wrought iron fence does resemble cornstalks, thus the hotel's name.
