Yet another of L.A.'s converted art deco movie houses, this 1928 registered historic landmark has become one of the most popular stops in recent years for national pop music tours. Before its current incarnation, El Rey Theatre also served as a thriving Wall Street nightclub. With a capacity of only 900, the theater often sells out, so try to get tickets in advance. Credit cards are not accepted at the box office, so make sure to have cash on hand.
