This is a consistent favorite of Westwood residents, UCLA students and the many moviegoers who frequent the neighborhood. It can be described as L.A.'s fast food version of Middle Eastern cuisine. It specializes in falafel, of course, which is a deep-fried chickpea mixture served in steaming hot pitas with tahini sauce, lettuce and tomato. The decor is simple but functional and prices here are excellent. Only cash is accepted. An additional location has opened on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica.
