Sample Malacca’s famed chicken rice balls in this festively decorated restaurant. Occupying a century-old former goldsmith shop, it marks an upmarket evolution of the popular home grown speciality food. The golf ball sized sticky rice balls are cooked in butter and ginger, perfectly complementing a plate of succulent steamed chicken. Despite stiff competition from long-running veterans of the trade in the Jonker Street vicinity, this newcomer appears to be pulling in the crowd with its chic décor and comfortable setting. Soft drinks, fresh juices as well as hot and cold beverages are available.
